Investors (Buy-Side)
Natural persons or legal entities who channel their money into the stock market by buying or selling the securities issued with the purpose of obtaining a return.
They are the engine of demand, as they provide the capital necessary for companies to finance themselves and grow.
Professional investors
“Any client who has the necessary experience and knowledge to understand, evaluate and adequately manage the risks inherent in any investment decision" (Art. 7.2.1.1.2. Decree 2555 of 2010).
They can be natural or legal persons or also entities supervised by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia (also known as institutional investors).
Investor clients
These are all those who are not classified as professional investors. That is, the general public. (Article 7.2.1.1.4 of Decree 2555 of 2010)
